Getting there through the southern coast
Vama Veche has no railway station. Plan rail travel to Mangalia, followed by a road connection through 2 Mai to Vama Veche. If the train ends in Constanța, the journey still needs a southbound rail or road leg to Mangalia before the final village connection.
The county's route 003 links Mangalia–2 Mai–Vama Veche. Its schedule records 6 km to 2 Mai and 13 km to Vama Veche, with a 30-minute outward journey: for example, 10:00 from Mangalia, 10:15 at 2 Mai and 10:30 at Vama Veche.
The published pattern includes half-hourly departures in much of the day and additional marked journeys. Do not assume that every extra journey operates year-round. With camping kit, a transfer to the entrance can save carrying bags from the village stop. Drivers need parking for the stay.
